A church in Westlake, Ohio....

23096 Center Ridge Road
Westlake, Ohio 44145

Westlake, Ohio was founded in 1810 by Joseph and Lydia Cahoon and Asahel and Rebecca Porter.  The early settlers in the area cleared the dense woods to make space for farmland and grazing land for their cattle.  By 1900, the population of "Dover Township" was around 2200 and growing.  In 1911, worried about the instabilities of remaining a "township", Dover was incorporated as "Dover Village" and once again in 1940 as "Village of Westlake", to avoid confusion with another town in Ohio named Dover.

Westlake became a city in 1957 and continued to grow.  In the 1960's and 1970's, the city's first beautiful subdivisions were built, as well as King James, it's first office park.  Westlake now has a population over 30,000 and is the home to St. John Westshore Hospital, The Promenade and Crocker Park, Cuyahoga Community College's Corporate Campus, the Five Seasons Country Club, LACENTRE conference facility, & Dave & Busters.

Grace Baptist is located on the east end of Westlake at 23096 Center Ridge, about 1/2 mile from Clague Road.  If you're coming from Clague Road, the church is past Horseshoe Road on the left-hand side.  If you're coming from Westgate or Westwood Town Center, Grace is down a mile or so on the right.
